ive heard from alot of forums that dureing winter due to the coldness outside that there subs dont preform right n the cones crack n spiders come loose n they dont have the same excursion n they gotta buy "winter cheap systems" so the weather done destroy the subs from the cold, i think its bs but i could be wrong, was just wondering, thankx for the answers :^

well due to the cold the materials are more brittle and can have MORE of a tendency to crack. and when people crank the system and not let the cab and material warm up cracking can happen.

to avoid this warm up your cab or warm up the subs slowly at lower volumes and slowly turn them up. but still dibt just crank them

ive experienced a lower volume when its colder outside. they play louder and cleaner when its hot imo.

For me, when I used the TL last time...it was alot colder out then it was the first time. I think it was around 60 F the first time and around 35-40 F the second time. I gained 2+ db without changing anything. But I also didn't crank on the sub before I tested. It was noticably colder to the touch the second time too. And I don't have any damage to mine.

thankx for the info, its usally in the low 30s here in the morning n i always let my truck warm up but was wondering if the moters still cold in the box but i dont crank mine when its rly cold tho
