An oscilloscope (commonly abbreviated to scope or O-scope) is a type of electronic test equipment that allows signal voltages to be viewed, usually as a two-dimensional graph of one or more electrical potential differences (vertical axis) plotted as a function of time or of some other voltage (horizontal axis). so u know in bass race when they have the term lab shit an t shows numbers (150.) what is that db its showing an if so does an o-scope do that??

^ the Term Lab measures SPL Unrelated EXAMPLE pressure per square inch per second on the mic spot

the Oscope just shows the quality of the wave moving through the machine

an O-scope simply allows you to view a signal voltage's waveform. It can tell you voltage.

SPL is sound pressure level. You need an SPL meter with a microphone or sensor to read the acoustical energy.

If you want to know frequency you need a frequency counter.

one tool that does all this through an acoustical pressure sensor is a Term Lab.

an O-scope can be hooked up to your RCA jacks on your headunit to view a waveform and tell if its clipping. But that does not help in Bass Race.

thanks guys i think i understand o-scope like 85% i wont know it all the way through till i own one lol i cant belive they cost that much i thought like 40 bucks tops
