Right now i have a Post Extender -I will also have the Big 3 to that battery soldered, a soldered 4 guage running to a distribution block in trunk which runs to two amps? -And when i do get a 2nd Battery do i have to disconnect both negatives to work on my system? Decaf Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 1) however u can attach it... bolt... bat terminal... so long as its strong with alot of surface contact 2)all u need is ring terminals crimped and soldered on the ends.. or if you have battery terminals they just slid in... like these bat terms here...click you can use ring terminals or raw wire.. one of the many things u could use again... if ur using a distro block and the amps power termnials u wont need to solder anything... its all raw wire held down with allen set screws 3)when connecting an extra batt... connect everything in parallel... if you dont ground the bats, nothing will work the rear bat should have a ground 18" or as short as possible to reach the frame/chassis metal. front batt should be grounded already using stock grounds which should have been upgraded during big 3
treossi Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 i have 0 gauge from my front battery to my rear battery, ground 10 inches long to massive bolt that i added to the rear chassis, make sure you clean the paint off any painted surfaces that you add the new ground to, or else you will have little or no connection, just take you're time and make sure you have good connections everywhere Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details
