99 Silverado Truck Single Cab

What Subs would fit behind my seat with alot of bass ? I wanna stay under a 1,000 dollars for the Amp and Speakers together maybe a headunit also if its possable. I use to have 2 15" JL Audio's in my Hatchback Ford Probe when I was in High School but alots changed since then been over 10 yrs since then. I Knew a Guy with a Chevy truck about a 96 or 97 1500 Silverado who had 4 8" Punch Fosgates in his truck ported and it was so badass you could sit in it and it would blow your cap off your head, you could barely breath when it hit.. Any help would be appreciated Thanks!

I was in your same boat when i was buying all of my equipment for my truck. You have more room back there than i do. I also depends if you are willing to move the seats forward or not.

If you want to do 8's then you pretty much can use any 8's than you want, due to their mounting depths not being to deep.

Now if you want to go with something bigger than 8's, and are not willing to move the seats forward, then you are gonna need to look into shallow mounts.

There are a couple companys that make some. Here are some off the top of my head:

1.Kicker

2.Pioneer

3.RE (new line that they just came out with)

There are a few more out there but can't remember their names right now. They range in sizes between 8" and 12". I believe there might be a 15" shallow mount, but im not possitive. Not its just up to you to think about.

I myself am running a 12" pioneer shallow right now. It gets the job done. Punch you in the chest feeling? No, able to play music and sound good, i think so.

its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies.

Regardless if they were dipped platinum and were stuffed in Beyonce's twat.....way too fucking exspensive

Silverado's definately have more room to spare than my regular cab ranger. I ran 2 10" kicker cvt's in a truck box i built for a while. They don't hit low but since they don't require much air space they'll get down if you're feeding them enough power.

I've fit 2 12" insignia's behind my seats, and I'm going to be building a box for someone else for two 13.5 JL's in the near future.

As of now I've got two 10" DC lvl2's behind the seats in my 03 silverado. Basically the same as yours, look at my build.

You can fit alot more than you think, and when it comes to making it fit with the most ease fiberglass, does great as you can get more airspace in more spots than just building a generic box. Do you have the flip down console middle seat, or how is yours configured?

^^^I was going to suggest your build but i thought yours was the newer body style to that.

To the OP, if you have anykind of fiberglassing skills, that is the way to go.

I would like to make something like that or Maybe make one that will hold 4 8's if I can get alot of bass outta them I want it like in Highschool where it use to make it hard breathing when it would hit.. tickle your ears..etc..lol My Truck looks like your almost same really behind the seat and mine is console like yours that folds up. Where did you learn how to make the box any help would be appreciated in what I need to do the fiberglass is it painted on or sprayed on ?

Maybe even put 3 10's acorss like yours but take the amp and cap and mount it under my passenger seat or something ?

Ever thought about doing a cut through? I think that is the really only way you will be able to reach your goal.
