bobonit Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 why... im not trying to start an argument or anything. i would never steal something ever. even if it cost a dollar. i just think that they were stolen already so whether i buy them or not does not affect the person they were stolen from. i would feel a little bad but i dont want to spend alot of money on rims on a car thats going to be temporary. i dont want to hurt anybody everyone says im a nice person, sometimes to nice. If you knowingly receive stolen property, you are as bad as the thief. I had a system stolen from me, have you? Do you know how it feels to have something you worked really hard to pay for taken from you? Think about that as you are rolling down the road on someone elses wheels. Maybe he will see you with them and then decide to seek some personal justice. Is it worth it? im not going to buy them anymore and its hard to save up because my parents wont let me take out of my bank account and i have to pay for insurance extra service for blackberry and im going to have to pay for college myself. thats with 100 dollars a week froma part time job. im not trying to make some sob stiry im just saying it will be hard to save up and if i do i would upgrade my system. raytard Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 like everyone said, its illegal if its a common everyday buy em anywhere rim with no serials, they cant do anything if the person can prove those specific rims are theirs, youre screwed, gonna lose the rims and probably get a hefty fine, if theyre worth over a $1k its grand larceny and you can get some time if they feel like making an example of you remember that they have to conclusively prove beyond doubt that those rims are theirs in order for you to get in trouble, innocent until proven guilty also know that if there is a serial on there( some rim companies put it on the inside of the rim, the part covered by the tires), youre royally screwed and that goes for anything, if they can prove a serial number youre getting in a boatload of trouble.
