HHR Ed
yeah, pretty much no rules on the build. Class is figured in the qualifying round. You pull up to the lanes, mic is put on the pass side windshield, car is sealed up (you can be inside or outside). The play music when the clock starts. The meter takes a 30 second average so a good start and consistancy is a must. If your average is 138.4 dB then you will be placed in the 130-139.9 class. Then brackets are randomly picked and you move to eliminations. During elims you go head to head. You have to come to get louder than the other guy during the run but the trick is to not go over 139.9 dB. If you hit 140+ at anytime during the run, you lose. You can use an Ipod. or a Zune. Boon
I've always wondered, how do they do the classes in bassrace? What stops you getting a car that can do 150's on music and just running 139.9's every time (including qualifying), which I assume would be somewhat easier than running in the 149.9 class? Nothing stops that. It doesnt matter. The point is control. If your system can do 150s, then its harder to keep it in the 139.9 class because on click of the volume too high or too loud of a start can shoot you over 140 very easily. I have done it myself. A perfect score in that class is 139.9 If your system can only do a 138, then it would be wise to shoot for the 129.9 class.
