mr.p
Anyone using the stinger 3/0 wire, i can get 2 spools of 30ft for around 400, which seems to be a good deal, i know i have to buy 000/ 0 adapters for it which brings the price up a bit, how flexible is this stuff? Decaf
ill spread the forest fire i got to you (lol, i got flamed for suggesting this wire in another thread) stinger 3 1/0 Strand Count: 6272 60ft ft spool = $400 just an example Strand Count: 5145 Kolossus Fleks Kable 1/0 Black Power/Ground Wire 120ft $408.00 current capacity of knu is 350a, stinger might be 400a (doesnt say), but you can get twice the wire for the same price of really good OFC wire..... just my .02cents knu is veery flexible, kicker flexs is very comparable... id imagine the stinger oval 1/0 is the most but with the cost of connectors it makes it a little pointless to spend so much Edited December 20, 2008 by decafcappucino
mr.p
wow so really the 3/0 isnt the technical equivalent of 3 x 0 wire :S according to the strand count you posted theres only 1000 more strands than a regular 0 guage wire? is that correct? sactownstang
U are overlooking the fact it's a flat type wire? It's not very flexible that I will say. Connectors are a pia to say the least. Unless u just can use the adapter. When u need a ring terminal it not to easy, it comes out as a male with those "adapters" I have it and while it is nice, it's way to expensive with the 4 adapters I use for power and ground. Then of course the issue of getting it to a ring terminal.... U have to solder them....
mr.p
ok well reccomendation for equivalent wire? like where to buy it and all that, i need 3 runs of + and 3 runs of - so like 30ft then the rest for miscellaneous connections. Anyone know if radioshack has a BNC male to RCA connectors for my oscilloscope? Quote DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP

tejcurrent
I've used about a dozen types of wire, including the knu and kicker flex. I like the kicker flex the best out of any of them I've used recently. Quote tejcurrent XS Power T3
mr.p
any other options? and where is the best place to purchase either mentioned wire? i get anything stinger at dealer cost, and i might be able to swing the same with kicker, although ive noticed with the stinger some places online have it BELOW dealer cost :\ Quote DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP
Decaf
bro, $3.40 per foot, can u beat that? for 5145 strands of OFC.. get knukonceptz online or ebay... click or $.40 cheaper whats dealer cost for stinger wire anyways, prolly close to $3 or even more a 50ft roll of kicker flex on ebay is 168.50/50ft= $3.37 per foot.... stinger 1/0 is $3.99 per foot for 4214 strands OFC plus shipping rockford fosgate 1/0 (if u can find it) is $3.49 per foot of 4702 strands OFC it should be obvious why people like knukonceptz, cheapest but highest strand count, can be bought in feet at the same prices or cheaper than 50ft rolls of the other brands... so duh, knukonceptz kollosus fleks ftw
