bunkerking09 Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 what was the peak frequency? sorry i'm bombarding you with questions. i just don't want a fart box ya know?
BenH Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 I think that it peaked at 47 hz, which is a high note for my truck. The response will mainly be a factor of your box volume and tuning. My note tends to stay the same if I take a box and flip it multiple ways in my truck. 1992 GMC Sonoma 2008 MECA S1 Champ, 2010 MECA S2 Champ
Derrick824 Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Nice design. Now modify it to fit your needs. What's your max width?

Derrick824 Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 All you have to do is modify box volume and tuning to fit your needs. With 49" of width you have plenty of room.
BenH Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 This design could be modified to fit. Notice how I did the rings to prevent the bottom of the magnets from hitting. If you choose to go subs forward, I would either fire the ports out the side or up. If you fire the ports up, I would recommend making them partially external so that you could help keep the port from getting too close to the bottom of the box. Choked ports = a large loss in ouput. 1992 GMC Sonoma 2008 MECA S1 Champ, 2010 MECA S2 Champ

BenH Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 meh, not really lookin for anything over 35, but who knows, i may change my mind I think you may be a little confused... The box was probably tuned to 40-42ish, but peaked @ 47 hz on a burp. Even if you tune your box to 35ish, I can almost bet that you will still peak around 38-42 hz. 1992 GMC Sonoma 2008 MECA S1 Champ, 2010 MECA S2 Champ
