Need Some Advice On Fuses/wiring Etc.

i plan on getting an saz-3000d,fully loaded fi btl , 1kinetik 2400, 1 kinetik1400 in the back and a 300 amp alt an i just got a lil extra cash not much like 120 an i was gonna buy the fuses an fuse holders i will need an i dont kno how many i will need though lol i think 3 right 1 16in away from the batt under the hood, one 16in away from the amp and 1 more from 16 in from the back batt??? an i was lookin for amp wiring kits an i was thinkin this is the one i will need right???http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?Category=Amp%20Installation%20Kits# but they onley give u a choie up to 200a fuse???

i'd say if your run from bat to amp is short (very short) then your good with 3

by front bat and back bat on main line

and by front bat on alt line

if your amp wire is long fuse that 2 (i forget if the sd is internal or external fuse, if external then def 4 so you can fuse the amp)

i am RELLY srry but im kinda new lol, but can u elaborate a little bit lol an i saw one the sundown site that the amp dosent come with fuses in it??? what fuses will i need to buy for the amp?

Knukonceptz should have some bigger fuses, they just may not be with a kit.

fuses on wire typically protect wire not equipment. The fuses on the amp protect the amp from a surge. BUT on some model amps (the SD) you need to fuse the wire very close to the amp because the amp has no fuses of its own.

so- you should have two runs from the front bat

first to alt second to second bat. both of these wires should be fused as close as possible to the front bat.

the back bat has a run to front bat and run to amp. both of these wires need to be fused. the first between bats as close as possible to bat 2 and the second on the amp run close to the amp.

that way if any of your power wires ground out fuses will pop and save batteries/amps

oooooooooo thanks you soooo much noobtastic so is that amp wiring kit i showed you good for my setup???so i will need to buy like 4 300a anl fuses an fuse holders?

A 300a fuse is recommend for the Sundown saz-3000d.

and one kinetik hc2400 under the hood 1 hc1400 in the back an a 300 amp alt will be good enough eletric for that set up right??
