Topic...

Looking for a good 1/2 ohm stable mono amp that will put out a clean 800-1000 rms @ 2ohm.

It can't be a power hog (has to be efficient) and under $250.

Kicker makes the 1500 (I think that's the model) but I can't say what the price is. For that range I would be careful, I think quality might be an issue

I was looking at the kicker zx750.1

Its under-rated @ 2ohm.

So it puts out 850 or so.

you should check out the kicker zx 1000.1 ....it should do about 1100-1200 @ 2ohm and would do fine on a stock elec

nope i tried to put my zx2500.1 @ 1 Ohm and it went right in to protect. there ONLY 2 Ohm stable.

I'm aware of that.

I meant a 1 ohm stable amp that would put out what I need @ 2ohms.

Think the SSD can take 1000 all day with just copper coils and easy on the gains?

i dont think your going to find an amp thats not going to be a power hog at 1/2 ohm stable.

Some are better than others.

Like the Sundown vs RF thread I saw a little while back.

The Saz-1500 put out rated power and sucked up less voltage than the RF 1000.1 putting out rated power.

The only reason I'm worried is because my electrical is stock and my alternator is only 70amps so the more efficient the better.
