I haven't been on here much, but some fellow Astra owners that wanted to up the ant on their sound systems brought new confidence in my car as far as sound goes. Turns out there are a couple of devices I can order for OnStar to work with the aftermarket stereo, and the steering controls can work with it as well. And, there's a double din kit to allow for the installation of a 7in monitor in the dash. So, I'd be able to play dvds and have gps. And the rest is history.

Also, I've been autoxin gmy car. I've gotten in first in the HS class, and mangaed to upset other class competitors with my PAX time, for the first two events out of 3, I didn't compete in the 3rd event.

Congrats dude! Have you done any other forms of racing before, or is this your first foray into motorsport?

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

This is my first time competeing the Astra, but I have ran in our local arscca.org events, in an 87 crx with a b16 swap. I ran in the SM class, which was a no-no because you are running against other seriously modified cars off the bat like, rx7s, bmw m3, corvettes, and the PAX for that class is so high, that you do so well in time, but get punished by the PAX factor.

I also recently signed up as an scca member. And, I've looked into some driving schools to get an SCCA license. And, I would like to compete in the Redline Time Attack if they indeed start various STOCK classes.
