Derrick824
Power Acoustik does not make a true 4,000watt rms amp. They're only like 1,200-1,600rms or so. A 250a alt will power one of them them fine with a good battery under the hood.
Memphisman
yah the one i will be using does 2200 rms at 1 ohm, but im only going to be running it at 2 ohm pushing 1700 watts rms out of that and, and about another 400 out of my mids and highs amp
Derrick824
What exact model is it? 2200watts @ 1ohm = 1100-1200watts @ 2ohm. I'm skeptical that you'll even see that though.

Memphisman
yah i dont run my system without the car being on, so i dont think i will have a problem, and it wont be up all the time, i like that "parkin lot pimp" never heard that, mostly it will only be up all the way for maybe competitions, or scarin the hell out of people
Derrick824
its the Power Acoustik BAMF-4000/1d i am going by what the amplifier specs say. That amp looks to be seriously over-rated. Expect a real 1600watts @ 1ohm and around 800watts @ 2ohm outta that thing. Running it @ 2ohm you won't have any need for an extra battery.
