Neo_frog
Here's something I've been wondering. If the 45s in a ported box are meant to allow waves to travel smoother, wouldn't 90 degree curves essentially accomplish that better (i.e. curved joints)? I've seen it done in some SPL boxes and just wanted some feedback from the experts. Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Neo_frog
Well if the curves give it a better sound, I'm just going to do that because I have the time and materials. I just need to know for sure before I start. Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? DHFHades
I used a 10" QuikTube instead of 45s in my T-Line and it works great, although it was my first box so I have nothing to compare it to. but it seems like it is louder than it should be for what it is Quote 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4X4 Pioneer DEH-P2900MP, Big 3 done in 1/0, 1 run 1/0 ran to amp DAT HF1000.1 #007 powering a DC lvl4 15 DAT HR 4085 prototype powering 2 Selenium 6s and 2 no name tweeters running active 1st place in AS3 @ Surf City Sound Off, 140.8 @ 45hz @ the headrest. rebuild coming soon to get a better score "I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. aznboi3644
45s go into 90 degree corners. I have no 45's in my 33hz 1/4 wave resonator yet its loud as hell. 45s would probably make it a little louder and smoother response but it sounds fine as is.
