With just 100w full range from my new (old) receiver, R-945 Sherwood Newcastle receiver, I pulled out my 12" transmission line I built for a XXX 18, and converted it to a 12". I hooked this sub up in the tline, and Wow 100 watts was sounding better when I had my Dayton 250w plate amp running most other subs I have had. Shook the kitchen, all the cups, and plates were shaking, and rattling. I walked around the whole house, the master bedroom bathroom, the mirror, and medicine cabinet were rattling, and shaking- That is about 35ft away, kept walking thru the house, walked thru the bedroom, to the hallway, and the hall way mirrors were shaking noticeably from like 6-7ft away, along with the rattling sound. So I must say, this sub is playing lower, louder than I expected. The guy has 3 more total, 1 more 1 style, 2 more a different style, so its quite possible I will be building a few of these. Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
