Box For 4 12" Rf T1

i recently made a box for my 2002 blazer, 9 ft^3 tuned to 36 hz

spec for the box

the subs are 4 12" rockford T1 powered by a rockford T20001bd

now im having a lil problem the box juss doesnt play higher bass notes like ones in reggae songs, now im wondering if i have to build a new box in order to get those notes, but also the boxes juss doesnt sound loud enough, plus the port is facing the rear of the truck but its only about 1-2" away from the tail gate and im not sure if that to close, i would kinda like to build a box that is only 30" x 31" and i dont really care how tall it would be plus i think maybe i should have the port firing upward, any thoughts, im sry i might have not explained it the best

The port is way way way too close to the tailgate....and good rule is how ever tall you port is that is how far your port show be at minimum from your tailgate....and yes subs up port back.

so i guess my only option is to make a box with the port firing upwards?

anyone know if i could fire the port upwards cuz i juss dont have the room to fire it backwards, also how bout a box 9ft^3 after displacement with a slot 3"x 36.5"x 9.81" deep tuned to 36 hz or should i tune to box to 34hz?
