YUKON'S PURE SPL SETUP (Kicker & RF)

Recommended Posts

I'm gonna be running 4 L7's with ONE T40001. I was just stating that to hit my 150 mark, I mite need a bit more ass on down the line. That's were that idea just came up. [glow=red,2,300]But just 4 and 1 for right now, that's gonna be pently loud enough for something daily[/glow]. I know for a FACT I'll be in the high 140's. But I'd like a 150!

Yeah I kinda have an idea...I had four 15" L7s with two D5000s...sounded good for the few minutes it lasted.

Damn son, that didn't sound promising, you fry'em, lock'em, pop'em?

Oh I should ya'll something to look at in the next two weeks, my table saw in the shop getting all tuned up, a'pair'ant'ly someone changed the blade and didn't lock it back down, so it wobbled into the guard, nothing real serious, new guard & gease and I'm back in business.

lol yea the silver and blue L7's  didnt handle the power as well as the 06's

I killed a set of the silver and blues off a modded RF bd1501,  it took a week for that smell to go away.

I also had the silver and blue ones and beat the shit out of them every day (two 15"s) off an Orion 2500d and they took it pretty well.

My friend has them now and you can tell the tinsels are fucking up on him...They're a little more than a year old now.

I sent mine in to tracy @ kicker and got 06 models, sold them to a guy I used to work with for more than I paid for them, put a Hifonics BXI2006 on em and the slammed , no issues, ever I still see em from time to time.

It's the new coils Kicker finally updated your game, flat wire design, keeps things nice and kool inside. 05's biggest down fall was people were locking them up when they simple run the RMS to them. I put in a few single sub setups, in smaller SUVs, always ran the old ZX700.1's, average test RMS was only like 760-800, nothing major, it never felled two weeks later got a call saying it was locked up. Plus it's all in how you play your shit.

Big-sexy Audio....Good luck on that 150. The kicker's should suit you well, they aren't that expensive and can get plenty loud. I heard the 12's in David's Mustang and they slammed pretty good and went VERY LOW.

Good luck

Well like Young Joc says "It's About to Go Down". Bills are all paid up, income taxes will be my first $$$ wave. But I do have some good news, My old L5 setup was finally sold to a buddy of mine, and he's following around in my footsteps, battling anyone who wants some, he stated to me tonight he hasn't lost a BassBox yet, there's about a 89% of that being true. We're going to a comp in T-ville, GA this Saturday, I'm taking a few of my systems over there to get a number on them. I'll hit you back up with those numbers later that night. I loved that damn little sub. I honestly hope for a 141-142, but well see!
