Adding Batteries

planning an upgrade and want to add a second batt. or two, my question is can i use the run of 0/1 that i already have in place and ground the trunk batt's in the trunk or do i need to run another leg of 0/1 from the front and ground of the main batt. also do i need a batt isolater iv'e talked to few local shop's and there telling me that when doing an install like the one i have in mind that not only do i need a isolater but all the batt's have got to be new including my starter batt.

now i don't dought that this is the case but i want to make sure that i'm not just spending extra money on thing's that i don't need, i'm working on a budget .

system consits of two Jl1000/1 , two Jl450/4's .

an isolator isnt required for that. but the more runs of wire you have, the better. means less resistance, which equals more power. i'm not 100% on the battery thing, but i dont think they NEED to all be new, as there's plenty of users here adding batteries whenever they can, but i think it may be better to

you could use the the power wire already ran and yes run the neg wire from the front to the back and ground the back batt's in the back and no dont isolate them and remember Big 3. I have those amps 2 of them and trust me there power hungry right now i have a 260 amp iraggi alt and a hc1400 kinetik bat infront and it holds up good but i need 2 more hc2400. I gotcha on the 0/1 run to the trunk,but I'm confused on the grounding the trunk bat's in the trunk . I have an optima yellow top under the hood now my plan was to add one or two more in the trunk, so your saying to ground the first off the starter bat. and the second off a chassis ground in the trunk ? just making sure i understand correctly.
