F N LO
scratch that i decided im getting qs... because they will be a daily sub and i liek to listen to my beats loud...
s1795so2
That is also a good sub, I am happy with mine. I just wanted a more versatile sub, that is at home anywhere. Just be easy on the gains, to see how the subs handle the sundown(s) first, then readjust the gains accordingly. -Steven-
F N LO
i didnt think gains were a volume knob??? lol but yea i know what you mean, im going to take it easy with them until i feel condident enough to try and get everything possible out of those subs/amps
s1795so2
I hope you actually did know what I meant, if not maybe 2 18's and some powerful amp's aren't what you need right now. In case you didn't know they are the adjustment knobs on the side of the amps.
F N LO
yea i new what you meant dood, i just was pointing out that my gains shouldnt have anything to do with turning up my subs, my gains shoul dbe set according to my deck, not how loud i want my subs... ChevyBoy
your gain has everything to do with turning up your sub. how do you set your gains according to your deck?
F N LO
throught your voltage output, from your decks preamps, at least that how i understood it...
ChevyBoy
that voltage from the deck will always be there. but you have to set your gains according to what your subs can handle.
F N LO
but the voltage can fluxuate is waht im getting at, if i set my gains, tand then try turning it up to show off i could possibly pop my subs... i know gains control the amount of power to the sub, but i cant just turn them up to get more power.... ChevyBoy
the voltage from the deck cant fluctuate unless you change the input voltage on the amp.
