///Alpine91
So I just bought a DC 15" lvl4 and i've been messing around with the RE enclosure calculator and Im thinking going about 4 ft^3. It's going into the trunk of my car so which would be louder, sub up port back or sub and port back? And I want it to hit low but while still sounding nice so what should i tune the port to? I was thinking 32Hz or 34Hz. and im gonna be using the Hifonics BXi 1606D at 1 ohm. 1 DC lvl 4 15" 1 Hifonics BXi 1608D 3.2ft^3 Box tuned to 32-33Hz Knu Kolossus Fleks Kable 1/0 Knu Karma SS 8 Gauge Speaker Wire Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X493 Head Unit (coming soon) Kenwood mids + highs (coming soon) Build

mbdblue
you could also try what Im doing (I got 2 DC lvl4 15s)....basically I didnt know which setup would be best for my car, so after talking to DJ from Team Nemesis, I decided to buy a smaller sub and make a test box ported so it would be easy to turn it and flip the port in each direction to see which position is better. Just a thought man...
