What makes a certain type of sub have better sq then a similar sub from a different brand. How does that work? I know for the most part they will all get about the same scores when it come to loudness, but w/ sq, does it mean that the sub will hit all freq's better? SD2.5s are probably the worse sounding of the bunch while Q's are alright but below lvl3 and SE imo for overall tonal functionality. things that make them different...spider packs, coils (length, winding,(flatwound or round), material) even a different cone material will change the sound of the subwoofer. what SQ is is debatable from person to person, but in my opinion a nice linear response, with a smooth transition from note to note.
