Megalomaniac
on rap and bass music from Itunes at 128k (not some random, you dont know where it came from, file share song), its hard to tell between 128 and 256. I have upgraded 3 full albums and im not sure how many more im going to do. It seems to sound a little better but im not sure....if i let you guys take that 100$ bet, id have to do play song A and B like 10 times and see how many times you can tell because if it was only once you could guess and still have a 50/50 chance of gettin it right. meade, you can tell, I am sure. You have trained ears. Best thing to do is listen to Dire Straits or something that has good overall tonal balance, not rap. Listen for the cymbals crashing. Those higher frequencies degrade heavily on compressed tracks. Quote Team Stereo Clarity

paul
Dont give away the secret!!!!! lol I use this also along with another site for hip hop music and mixtapes. lovely isnt it? Im a rapidsharer as well. screw mediashares. I'm pretty familiar with these sites. Not a big fan of rapidshare. They're better off hosting files on their servers or using them for storage. But I do know a couple sites that actually give data on file's posted for "DL"-ing. And I have to say, there have been times that I have been lucky to get music file's at a higher bit rate, anything above 200 kbps.

wildbeast15
here is something i bet not many people did not know... the gov mandates that mp3 players have a limiter on the volume and whatnot so it doesnt damage the speakers or headphones so in the process of turning the volume down they fucked with the quality soo in all reality the 196 will sound the same if you have a ipod and do the nuke volume mod.... Quote The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on.
