Zade08 Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Hey guys. My brand new pioneer took a shit and warranty is going to take a month to fix it. So Im buying a new deck in the meen time. Does any one know of a good deck that has a 6volt rca preout. Im looking for something around the 200-300 $$ Range. In return a very cute kitten. Guest digitalboy Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Just because your amp CAN take 6v preouts. doesn't mean it matters. To be honest, between 2v and 8v preouts i have not heard a difference between the two, as long as the gain is set right. Quote
finkster Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 my panasonic cq703u had 6v preouts...i fucking loved that head unit.... Quote DAT 4125------>RE XXX comps active Eclipse cd7000 I serve drunks for a living
Zade08 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Report Posted February 5, 2009 So your telling me even though my sundown has a 6volt gain max that if i put it on a 6v preamp its not realy going to make a difference from my 4volt preamp? And thinks for the recommendations guys. Looking as we speak. Quote Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. New shit coming in the next 30 days.
Zade08 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Report Posted February 5, 2009 I was also looking at the eclipse decks. What makes them so great? People keep telling me there awesome HUs. Quote Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. New shit coming in the next 30 days.
AI James Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 usually Eclipse decks are real clean sounding and have alot of options Quote

Looking as we speak. Correct. The gain on the amp is adjustable so it will get full power from a deck with like .2 volts to over 6 volts. Andrew2944r Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 If your worried about low v from the headunit, invest in a line driver... Most decks that offer 6volt rca preout are well above your price range... Quote Team Ampere Audio
Zade08 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Report Posted February 5, 2009 Already condidered a line driver but was told that if amplify a 4volt shitty signal to a 6volt signal you still have a shitty signal...
