Bigg Boy Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I am having a problem where I can no keep my battery floating voltage above 12.2v with my brand new deka intimidators... I am charging at 14.7v. I dont think anything is pulling power off them while they sit. I have a feeling that it might be my alt is putting out voltage but no amps. Note: I am no running any stereo stuff at this time, just normal driving Dodge Magnum with custom 300c front end, laid out on air bags *4) 12" Cadence Daytona walled *1) AudioQue 20k *270a DC Power Alt (Dual coming soon)

It wont float harder unless you teach your batteries buy putting them on a constant low amp trickel charge for a few weeks straight. And this only works best with brand new batteries that have never been used

audiofanaticz Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 just becuase the batteries are the same doesnt mean the voltage will be idenical. Your batteries that you are using may not be getting fully charged by your alternator which will effect your float voltage. but like i said, its a 12 volt battery, most 12 volt batteries are around 12-12.8 volts.
