I know type r's get loud though. I dunno what youre going for. If you want SQ, I'd look elsewhere than a type r. they dont sound bad at all, but its not the best for sq. a type x is if you want to stay alpine. Fi has some good SQ subs. I thiiink eclipse is good SQ too.
