thehoe92 Posted April 20, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 20, 2009 awesome!! where did you get the paint at? i can pick some up, how many coats is that and how long did it take youfrom the chevy dealer I found a place that will double the size of the rattle can I got and give me two for about $15. first I sanded it down with 600 until it was dull, then shot some bulldog adhesive promoter so the paint won't chip. waited 5 or so minutes then shot another coat and waited another 5. shot a light coat to get some color down, it wasn't necessarily all covered. waited a few minutes then really shot some on, came back after a few more minutes when it was settled and shot a light coat. waited about 20 minutes for it to dry and then sprayed a heavy coat of clear to get that shine and let it "bake" in the sun. I did it before work at 5 and I get out of school at 2:35 but don't get home until around 3. Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

thehoe92 Posted April 20, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 20, 2009 ill call the ford place tommorro and see how much some blue would cost, how much you think i would need, 5 logo's, 2 take hardly any, 3 would be a good bitI got the tiniest spray can they offer and its got tons left.after that I picked up a jar of it and it has a pen tip at the end for scratches, haven't really tried doing it but I did one scratch and its hard to work with. after you do your logos you can't stop and want to find other things to paint at least I feel that way.
