If you were local I'd lend you my RE XXX 18 for awhile so you could see how it does in your t-line.

What drop kit you end up getting?

sorry about the ^^^^ bullcrap talk...but i am wanting to know are you only running 1 fosgate 6.5 componet set being pushed by 1 300-2 fosgate amp? if not please let me in on what your running for mids/highs

so nothing in back doors? 1.....6.5 in each front door and a tweeter?

I had a set of 5.25" T3 components in the back doors off the head unit, then I wired both the RF and the T3's at 2 ohm on the 2 channel but it made the T3's pop when the mid bass hit.. Rockford's took the power fine

then I sold all my T3 speakers so you are correct I have nothing in the rear doors

I am very impressed with the Punch speakers and plan to get a set of 5.25's soon either off a 4 channel or another 300-2

and yes '03+ Tahoes come stock with the tweeters in the a-pillar, I tried that for a while with the T3 tweeters and didn't like the imaging nor how they wouldn't stay flush so I cut out a hole in the door where the '00-'02 model Tahoes have the tweeter and put them in there then covered the a-pillars in vinyl :)

How did I miss the t-line? 18 in a t-line at that. That should be pretty amazing with an 18, I loved my 10's in a t-line.

first part of the question

maybe this will answer it..

you've got 2 sets of terminals on the 6.5" mid bass

one is for the speaker wire going to the amp and the other is for the speaker wire coming from the tweeter

they have a concealed crossover which means you run your tweeter wire to the midbass and lets say a 12 gauge run of speaker wire to your amp and that is channel 1 which will be run at 4 ohms

I grounded my RCA's to the head unit and from the head unit I grounded to the frame.. that seemed to make it worse so I took all those wires off and the noise went away

I have almost 0 engine noise.. it seems to only become audible when my voltage is low

I still have static but that could be due to my EQ

and I have heard wonders about the balanced line driver if thats what you are talking about.. RayTard used it and got rid of all noise in his system
