When I hear the word soon I always cringe. At work soon means whenever the hell they feel like it and its prolly gonna be a the most inconvenient time.

In a couple of the online games Iplay soon is a trademarked answer when people ask when stuff is going to be fixed.

Now when my homie asked when I was goin to get my new amp and speakers installed I said as soon as it clears up enough I can stand to be outside and not ruin my shit.

Which means if it doesnt stop snowing imma put a tarp up around the carport and hook up my space heater and get that shit done:P.

woke up to this haha...

back to the build...

I wasn't sure where to mount the amp since I know it isn't good to put it on the back of the box where it would have been the most efficient for running wires and what not so I decided on putting it underneath the seat. I saw Steve's build on his Tahoe and wanted to do the same thing where you cut a piece of MDF to contour around the seat brace and then mount the amp to the board but I didn't have enough and it just doesn't seem like there is enough airflow to it like that.

So eventually I decided to take about a 2" long piece of PVC and let the amplifier float about the seat brace and just screw the amp with long enough screws to the frame.

I got lucky and two of the seat braces were perfect size away from each other so I only had to screw twice and bolt the other two to the brace.

360 degrees of ventilation.

...where to mount the remote.

Do like everyone on YouTube; let it just hang around - too sloppy.

Mount it in between the seat and the center console - ends up ruining the upholstery

Copy Chevy and mount another switch on the side of the seat because it already has enough room to get your hand too it and it is out of the way - I think we will go with this one.

and the finished product...

last one for the night...

running the wire across the engine bay to the battery terminal.

you can pick these up at Home Depot.

they work great.

thats it for now.

all thats really left is to mount the subwoofer and connect the wire to all the terminals and put the fuses in.
