Melissa Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I would like to get 2 18's on 10,000 watts if thats not possible than maybe 8,000. since t3 rates there woofers way below what they can handle I was thinking it might be able to handle 4,000 since the RMS is 2500-3000 and that was before he changed design. my new goal is also to play songs close to full tilt without getting low so maybe I need to be as close if not a little lower than RMS to achieve that. and john that could be a good possibility but I would really like to run something new see what else is out there. I still have not heard a LVL 5 18 besides outside of nymans hoe. seems like my BL likes being inverted. it can get down to 29hz now so if anyone has any suggestions for 2 powerful low hungry 18's powered by 2 4,000ish watt amps I'm up for it. You let me know when you want to hear a pair of LVL 5 18's
thehoe92 Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 5.25 in pillars where were you tonight?lol and that also means I have to shove 6.5's in a 5.25" stock hole so do u think its worth it to turn the ssf off? my friend has a 1000bd and he never plays below his tune freq of 29hz, im wondering if this will help the lows I don't want to sound like I know everything and what is the best for his situation but in mine it was the best thing I did.the RF amps limit you a lot because their SSF is set to 28hz with a 12db slope so its not only cutting off below 28hz but it starts cutting into low 30's as well. its a lot of restriction and trust me you want lows You let me know when you want to hear a pair of LVL 5 18's yours would be another example Bill brought it when 99vic got his DAT amp and I heard it from the outside haha Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
thehoe92 Posted August 23, 2009 Author Report Posted August 23, 2009 been using my SecondSkin for a lot of miscellaneous rattles in my car and it works great! came with the folding knife and roller to the right and left of the rear window on tahoes and suburbans are air vents covered by air vent caps. this is where the air can escape from the cabin but it also lets SPL out. so I took the vent cap off and took the vent out to expose the leak covered it up with the SecondSkin and now when you shut the doors with the windows rolled up and you are inside you can feel slight pressure on your ears because the air doesn't escape. and finally my worst rattle is both the back plastic on the hatch and the trim around the rear window. both flex and buzz at higher frequencies. Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

thehoe92 Posted August 23, 2009 Author Report Posted August 23, 2009 well I have to do either of them because there is no way I am going to be fitting a t3 tweeter in the stock location on the a-pillar without the plastic bulging. I'm glad I got these though because I wanted something sexy lookin to go in the a-pillars and now I have them. carbon fiber and chrome FTW! Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

donsie Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 You got 5% all the way around? Or just the rear windows? chicken is basically the native american hulk, you think he broke that curb with his rim? think again, that was merely him stubbing his toe.
