Snow Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Well at least make the tailights visible. After a cop telling you that you were not even visible at night, wouldn't you want to have some legal tailights to make it safer for you and others on the road? thehoe92 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Posted April 25, 2010 they are visible which is the part that kept confusing me when the cop said that I had NO tail lights then he showed me his tail lights and I was thinking obviously yours are clearly visible you have nothing on them my plan was to get some LED tails and NiteShade them that way it would show through like a stock bulb would without being blacked out Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

Blackedout Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 I've been pulled over 5 times for tint/ fix it shit, let off the other six times I got pulled over. What I've learned is 30% tint is a really good happy medium. It still looks great on the car, still noticeable that you have tint, and it's way easier to see out of at night/ in the rain. What it seems like you're looking for on the rear tails is something unique, more than anything.... Completed red tail lights with the reverse light redded out passes right under the radar with cops.... Still illegal, but a cop has to have a great eye to figure it out if you don't put it in reverse in front of him. My car gets a ton of looks, it has the power to get me in trouble, and there's something illegal everywhere you look. If you do the speed limit everywhere you go, chill in the slow lane, and just get off the gas you'll be fine. As far as suspension goes, your shit is dumped.... so much so that you're pushing the limits of what your drive train can handle. If you bring it up 1/2'' - 3/4'' Your tires wont self destruct, you will have a nicer ride, and you probably won't be servicing stuff all the time. As well, it'll still be low. You've lowered the shit almost 5''... 1/2'' to 3/4'' and you still got 4+'' below stock height. Above all, if you drive your car slow it looks better on the street and the huge tickets will disappear. You may get some fix it tickets but those are whatever. Trunk Build Log
thehoe92 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Posted April 25, 2010 really its just a matter of me getting brighter tail lights if I get the LED tails it won't matter how blacked out they are they will look like a stock housing that doesn't have anything over it the tint is staying I don't really have problems with that anymore because I park in the garage so a cop can't roll by and see it on the street and send another ticket in the mail I've noticed if I'm just in sleeper mode going the speed limit, it serves its purpose to be blacked out because I just blend right in and nothing illegal ON my car is noticed suspension; my ride quality is back to stock I have no complaints about it, at one point I had some driveshaft issues with it slipping and nyman suggested I get it yoked, hopefully thats the right word, but I would still like to replace my u-joints since I just turned over 125,000 miles the other day a lot of problems I have been having have been mileage related and the fact that everything on my hoe is rusted I'm dropped almost 6.5" in the rear and about 4" in the front on my list of to-dos service brake booster replace front brakes possibly front hubs transmission fluid service air bag fix all dents Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
aV8ter Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Find someone with a lifted 2wd nbs and try to get them to buy you transfer case and front diff and junk. Get you some money back and free up some weight and acceleration and MPGS. Unless yours is the kinda rare awd, then keep that shit. It will reward you if you ever get the itch to go turbo lol...
