loganberry Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 no z in exact we can mess around with it tommorro, we know you cant hear it bottom out up front, but you can hear it in the back, you may have to adjust the gains a lil, maybe not...not only are t lines much bigger than a ported box, you inverted it so you added even more space in the box My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
thehoe92 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 considering I heard what bottoming out sounds like I am pretty sure I would hear it even from the front. you do have to remember that every single thing in my car rattles BAD and I've noticed even more lately that my roof on low notes will give off a reverb kind of sound from the metal flexing. it could be mistaken for rattles since you are sitting right under the part of the roof that flexes the most and all the vents hit the top of the roof back there I am not touching the gains at all they are oscoped and not clipping. but like you said we'll mess around see what it can do Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

Noob_On_Droid Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 Damn Logan nailed that one! Two ways a woofer will die either thermal or mechanical, if your signal is perfect you still might shatter a tripple joint or slam the coil into the back plate. Neither one is very good
thehoe92 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 so I should have a clean signal but greatly reduced? I'll keep an eye on it tonight and then he can look at it tomorrow. and what would cause mechanical... obviously thermal you feel the motor or the coil to see if its heating up Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
