Best Under-the-hood Battery For 2001 Blazer?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to replace the battery under the hood on my 2001 Blazer, and trying to figure out if I should just put a good lead acid battery in or if I would benefit from a Kinetik/Powermaster AGM type battery.

I've got an HC1800 in the back, and need more amp-hours so I was hoping to gain something up front.

Any idea what I can fit?

i have the same situation my friend, i'm either going to go with a kinetik 1800 up front, and one in back or a optima yellow top on front with kinetik bringing up the rear.

Nice to hear the 1800 fits with a bit of effort. I've got one in the back already so I think I'll try stuffing it up front and then go to Deka's or HC2400's in the rear. (Or D3100's if I can find the $$$)

A Powermaster D3400 is a direct bolt-in replacement for Blazer, and they arn't too expensive.
