DHFHades Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 I've been bantering with a good friend of mine about a Tline but do to his car it would be something like this: Line length works to be at around 30hz and port is only 3.5sqin short of the SD of the driver BUT my main question would be the corner behind the woofer- will it load funny? will this effect the flow of the line? will it act like a chambered line? what changes can i make to more accurately predict the output? -Drew holy shit, I'm totally doing this instead of walling my Squareback Quote 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4X4 Pioneer DEH-P2900MP, Big 3 done in 1/0, 1 run 1/0 ran to amp DAT HF1000.1 #007 powering a DC lvl4 15 DAT HR 4085 prototype powering 2 Selenium 6s and 2 no name tweeters running active 1st place in AS3 @ Surf City Sound Off, 140.8 @ 45hz @ the headrest. rebuild coming soon to get a better score "I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. Forevrbumpn Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) the second design will work the best. If you can start off with some area, and force that air to the line... design will definitely work, you may be able to make up the lost SD by just getting rid of that center board, and do 1 port exit for the 2 woofers my experience with tlines is that they like larger exits, and smaller entrances to the tlines, and when done so, they play better lows, more powerfully Edited February 12, 2009 by Forevrbumpn Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
Noobtastic14 Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 Alright thanks ken- im finding that i have a very limited space so i think this will work, i'll have to tweak the angled board behind the woofer a lil bit to make sure i can clear the mag and sheetmetal but this is pretty close to what i want to do -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. CR Boom Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 This is funny, that box is almost a direct copy of one I have been trying to fit.. I am at the point where I am thinking of widening out the area between my wheel wells... All that for 3.5 inches... Freaking insane....
