Box Bracing

if im doing a box like this: 9cubes1181272porttunedto33hz.jpg

would i need some sort of bracing? i dont really plan on doing any resin

how thick mdf are u using? and what program did u use to design that?

this is what i would do with 1" dowel rods

are you using allthread or dowel rods

if dowel rods, i made them intersect as much as possible since it makes the whole box stronger if ur not gonna use resin

edit* id love a birds eye view, would help to see if vertical supports can span bottom to top since it looks like the box is port up sub up in a suv maybe?

umm still would work just lower... and if ur using allthread you might as well run the pieces all the way thru each panel since you cant really tie the allthread together, each rod is only as strong as it by itself

if your flush mounting the sub, might want to add another baffle so there is at least two baffles for the screws/tnuts to bite into/and support

it would be doubled on top, flush mounted. it would sit port up sub up in my car. sub is dc lvl 4 xl.

I would do 1 1/2" dowels instead of 1". I use that in my boxes and will have pics up very shortly of a new box build for a pair of 15's using the 1 1/2" oak dowel.
