wierdguy75
Just wondering if any of you have ever used white noise to tune your system, and how you use it?
Forevrbumpn
white noise, pink noise, its the same concept. What it is, is a sound that puts out at all frequencies across the board 20hz- 20k hz with the same amplitude- to use it sounds like TV / radio static, but on a RTA if tuned right, it should be a nice flat frequency response, while we still hear static, the mic picks up the dips and peaks.. If you have the equipment, white noise is a good way to test your system, but you have to have a good RTA a good mic, a computer, the software, and its a costly way to make sure your car is set right I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
