mrafrica Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 how do focals and rainbow components compair to less costly component sets. because i might get a set of them for my durango. i was looking on speedsound.com and they are decently priced on there. but it looks like some of the focals are just half of a set and are still up there in price. anyone had any experience with these sets?? and can anyone recomend a good set of them And far as the best connection ever....... get a huge fucking battery, cut the top off, drop an alt in there and then pour all that into your big amplifier. or just smelt them all together.

I do however have three sets of Focals. i have two sets of 165k2p and 1 set of 165kps. i will probably change subs and amps 100 times before i sell my focals. i have a JL 300/2 on my front door and another on the rears and they SCREAM and are so clean. The only thing i dont like about them is they are DEEP. i had to build a 1 inch riser ring to fit the woofer in my door. They arent XXX deep but they arent slim by any means. Their tweeter is also a little on harsh side, which is what i prefer, but others do not. They arent like MB Quartz HARSH but not the most mellow either. To me they are perfect. I own 2 sets of Rainbows. A set of CMX 465 kicks and a set of SLC 265s. They sound amazing. The clarity is unreal. I have also had experience with the germaniums and vanediums(sp).
