Jdhonda810
Hey, today i thought about how extremely badass an entire plexiglass/lexan transparent subwoofer enclosre may look. When you look in the back of the car, you could see the entire sub and magnet as well as the speaker wires coming out from the sub. It would be pretty coool right? Well any opinions on whether it would be a good material to use or would it be horrible because it may not soak up any of the sound like MDF would? Can I get some opinions? HHR Ed
you dont want the material to "absorb" the sound. Lexan or acrylic can work very well and most boxes built with this material are good SQ performers. Gotta make sure you use thick enough material. I suggest 3/4" or more.
