Noobtastic14 Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 My car has a stock alt with a 2pin plug, after watching the vid meade posted i know that one wire puts 12v of power into the alt to get it going when the car starts (alt wont work unless it starts up with power) wire #2 is to trip the indicator light on the dash if something goes wrong. i have a second alt fabbed up that is 130A OEM and is a 3 pin, what does the third wire do and can i still run the alt without it? E a r t h Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 for ASI style plugs, A= B+, S=stator,I= can be ''ign'', warning lamp [which can be an exciter] etc depends on alt though, diagram for that alt would be best. what manufacture is it again?
