your budget is very low that sub is not very cheap, you need to consider, enclosure, wiring, and proper electrical, that car has alot of electronics so it may have a large alternator, but also uses more of the alternators juice, just something to think about.

Why waste your time with this tool? His system sucks, that's all there really is to it. My toilet puts out more low end and flex than that thing!

that's why you don't go to dealers and instead go to individual shops. Usually have more experience b/c they once worked for a LR dealer & got fed up with the shit.

But really, after reading a WHOLE LOT these are fairly reliable besides normal wear and tear. Only 2 major faults are so:

1) The Three Amigos: Your ABS system malfunctions & you lose HDC, ABS, & TC but brakes still work completely fine.

2) Head gasket leaks. That's about ~$2000 to fix. But once at around 100k & you won't worry about it again. It's really only like $300 for parts but then a SHIT LOAD of man hours to replace them.

Well I have figured out the cost pretty well actually. Here is my list:

(1) IA 21" Death Penalty--------------$653

(1) AQ 2200D ---------------------------$389

(1) Deka 9A31---------------------------$200

(1) Homemade box~~~~~~~~~~~ $150

All Wiring~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~- $300

TOTAL------------------------------------------------$1692

I'm going to monitor my electrical as it is above. If that doesn't cut it, another Deka 9A31 is going under the hood. I already measured, and it fits with room to spare. :) If that upgrade doesn't cut it, then add another $450 on for a 240A alt.
