thanks guys, I dont think im going to make a new box unless i really hear something worth messing with, but if i sounds ok i prob wont mess with it. But i know what you all are saying. well i just got home from work 3 hrs ago (11 my time) and got to work on the car. Went to my local shop and picked up some more 0 guage and while i was there i had them go through for my firewall real quick. He made me feel like a jackass, he did it in like less than 2 minutes. ANYWAY here are some pics

1st Heres the 0 guage through the firewall

Got it all Fused Up, BUT i hate the knuconceptz anl fuses. So im going all Stinger

And i Reran the rca's, start up, and bass knob wire to the other side.

Took dash apart again

My Technique of pulling wires to the trunk. Stinger 0 guage + Wires and pull

New Ground (new technique works) w/ a stinger dampener plugging in the old hole.

Through the trunk carpet an attempt to make it look cleaner

Thats all for tonight at the very last moment it all went to shit. My only terminals left were knuconceptz and they didnt fit over the HC800 battery terminal and i had no drill bits so i was pissed, but itll be done tommorow.

we use like 2 foot zip-ties at work to get the wires through dashes, behgind and under seats and through panels, electrical taped to the wires. pretty much the same thing you did. GJ.

Hey its alearning experiance man just take your time and make it look how you would want to show it to ppl! Take pride in your work and dont rush it fer no one.

Oh and the firewall thing.... did you watch them at least? If not get under that dash and investigate! then you will have an idea on how to do it the next time

ive never had that problem but i dont live in snow.

throw some tape over it .... id do Duct Tape though instead of electrical tape personally.

EDIT: Dont be nervous, if it has port noise just take the box and re do the port a bit bigger and shorter/longer for your desired tuning frequency.

2nd Ninja Edit: Or just rebuild the thing.

egh, what do i know? i just install at a retail shop everyday for a living.

we use ports smaller then that daily in our custom boxes, we never have ANY port noise, until i come across some, it doesnt exist to me.

with comments like that Im suprised you dont have any "customers" running back to the shop to have fuckups fixed

it will save you alot of headaches. I unfortunately cant do that in good concience because he will pick some otherrokk to totally give bad advice to and I cant let that happen. I love this hobby too much and hate to see good (Im assuming your good you seem like it) people get screwed and chopped the wrong way!

Yeah i watched and i looked down there and he said he didnt use a grommet or couldnt so all i have to do is seal it up with some silicone or something like that. And yes it is a learning experience i learned how not to take off the panels along the carpet and now i do. And it helps to have someone hold a flashlight

It'll be done tonight (if everything goes right) and i go to the shop and pick up some more 0 guage terminals. Anyone have any tips on wiring 8 guage in series cuz i tried to twist em together but it didnt not get close to fitting. So i am thinking about 12? but i really wwant 8 guage

no one has brought any of the work ive done back .... except to upgrade. no blown woofers, speakers or anything else. and i said duct tape unless you really wanna take the time to silicone/ JB Weld that hole back up.

besides, the hole that was there for the ground wasnt my fault it got "spun" out. Just trying to help the kid out.
