Oh whoops my bad.... read it too fast.

4 subs going against 2 subs with about the same power rating and you are asking how the L7's can take double?

In the right enclosure the L7 can take 1000 daily (12 inch) 1100 x 4 = 4000watts.

The DC sub is 1k (if I remember right) I would say 1500 though. 1500 x 2 = 3000 watts.

Not quite double but still 1k more.

Now for cone area...

12 x 12 = 144 x 4 = 576

9 x 9 x 3.14 = 254.34 x 2 = 508.68

So more power and more cone, but oh yea thats right around here DC and Fi are god and nothing else will perform.... my bad u guys are right.

Go with less power and less cone area you are bound to be better. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/01nocomment8so.gif

First of all, none of us on here are saying that DC and FI are godly like. They are however great quality subwoofers...more so then Kicker in my opinion. It's not like I am against Kicker or anything...take a look at my setup.

I wouldn't give the 06-07 L7 any more then what its rated for. If loganuf had the 08 versions then I would say he could feed his 12s a little more juice. So, 750 watts x 4= 3000 watts. A DC lvl4 18" can take 2000 watts rms and probably more in the right enclosure. 2000 x 2= 4000 watts. The L7s might have a little more cone area, but the quality of the cone isn't as good as the DC lvl4. Not to mention, two 18s look cooler and sounds badass when you tell someone. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif

u have more cone area with 4 12's than you would with 2 18's. 12 inches more cone area. why dont you just get another 2500 and double your power. that would make a pretty noticeable difference in the way they sound. i have 4 12's now (cvx's) and they are underpowered but they still get down. im selling mine to go with 4 18's but i dont think 2 would be worth it.
