brsteinbach
Ive got two questions and need a little help. Will this get low and i mean low cuz i like chopped and screwed music. And I was wondering if the box was big enough to get low and sound good. The box is a slot port in the middle, tuned to 30hz, 3 cubic feet for two twelves. Sorry i quickly threw this up in sketch up so it is kinda crapy but any help would be cool thanks. Front: Top: Oh BTW the W: 36, H: 14, D:16. Thanks! Sampsonite
The middle section of the port where they both combine needs to be twice the width as the back ports. Quote --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
AI James
so basically just half you back ports
brsteinbach
Sorry but im confused. Does that mean the middle would have to be 6"? Or... that the back would be 1.5" each? Because the port is 3" wide. sorry noob at slot ports. Just wanna make sure i get my measurements right. Sampsonite
you did the calculations with a 3" port right? keep it at that. Whatever it is, I wouldn't go any higher than a 8:1 port ratio Quote --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
sully
did i miss what woofers are going in it? depends on alot of factors, amp subs, vehicle, location. low lows play well from ported boxes with 10-12 sq inches of port face per cube. with a 6 inch port from top to bottom you will have somewhere in the area of 25-28 depneding on material thickness. that is alot but should get nasty low Quote 2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's 2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine. 2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's 2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint
