Recommended Posts

mine was a hand-me-down from my dad.

1 12" pioneer. (250w max svc from the early 90s)

a 300 watt thump amp ( 2 channel)

sony headunit.

and a box approx. 1.5 cubes with a pillow in it. also had a hole in it that was covered with duct tape.

boston rears and polk doors ( one of each was blown)

and power wire was 4ga and ground was some kind of lawn mower wire.

that was about 2 years ago

much has changed

hahaha nice!

Youll never believe the redneck engineering that was my first "attempt"... A Sony Xplod 12" in the worlds most redneck box, a 5 gallon bucket... powered from the headunit.... i can say total pos, and a cheap Clarion HU with factory stock speakers all around in a 95 Jeep Cherokee...

2 Kicker 10" L5s in the prefab box (sounded like ass)

Directed 1200D amp I think, put out like 600 watts at most

Sony "who-knows" head deck

All jumbled together with a mix match of RCAs and bits of wire! It sounded pretty bad until I started messing with it. I reduced the port diameter and dropped the tuning frequency nearly 10Hz and things shaped up some.. :)

2 12" 03 CVR's and a Profile California CA800, bumped pretty good. Shitty install though. I didn't know what I was doing, and I drilled a hole through the firewall just under a gap in the cowling. everytimes it rained I would have 2" of water in the passenger floorboard. lol. Oh well, you live and you learn.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...
