Trying to build a box to 32hz, and i am wondering what the difference is between using small ports like 2" and using larger ports like 6"? Is there a big difference? If i use 4"aero ports i have to make them 6" long, and if i use 6" ports i have to make them 16" long. Whats the difference?

Yes bigger or smaller port make a sound differently. It really depend on the sub you putting in an enclosures. Some woofers need huge port inorder for it too work and sound nicely. Sometimes if a port is too small it will create a port noise which make it sound horrible. I don't use aero port but i like rectangle port because it give awoomme hair trick and stuff. Have you check this calculator as yet. I don't know if it will help you but it seem to do the job fine on the port.

a general rule of thumb is 12-16sqin of port surface area per cuft of volume

since aeros are more efficient, you can get away with 8sqin/cuft

that being said, the size ports you should use depends on the volume being used

one big port has less friction and tends to be louder also, then compared to multiple smaller ports
