The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)

Draw your own conclusions on these pics, guys

Sliding solid copper lug over

lugon.jpg

Crimped up with the hex crimper in a couple of seconds!

crimp1.jpg

Cut it with a hacksaw just to show you guys how it looks inside

formed.jpg

formed1.jpg

It's now formed into one solid copper joint, it's never coming undone and very very little resistance. Quick and easy!

Then just slide some industrial heatshrink over to insulate and it's all gravy!

Thanks for looking guys!

looks alot stronger then soldering

R.I.P!

I'm more for soldering than crimping, but I love my Klein Crimper Strippers that I won from Darvex

Crimps like Charger's (done with a hydro crimper) are far, far, far better than soldering. Any day of the week. If you look closely at that pic you can't actually see where the lug ends and the strands begin.
