amazinblazin10
So a long time ago I came across for a vented enclosure by Diamond Audio as the picture below... This picture shows the that each sub has their own chamber and the ports are on the outer edges of the box... My question is is it possible to leave the center divider there, but change the ports around so that the ports are in the middle, but with the center divider there and each sub would still be in it's own chamber, or will this affect the tuning and mess everything up? Any and all responses are appreciated... and if you have and other questions to help your response just ask... amazinblazin10
Well that's the thing I won't be using those subwoofers even though the design is meant for them I will... we'll not me, but a buddy will be using 2 12's Audiobahn Alum12n subwoofers and the tuning from those specs that i figured up was around 29hz... Bunker
When you build your own box you can tune it to what you want doesn't have to be their box or port design. So pretty much your looking for subs front port front right. amazinblazin10
no i know you can tune your box to whatever you want, i've already built like five, but i've been curious to try this design out just to see how it sounds... i'm not new to building boxes and what not, i know about tuning i was just asking if that design can be modified to the way i explain in my first post... Bunker
Have to try it and see all you have to do is redesign the port. Bunker
Take the port and just turn it over. What I mean look at the palm of your hand then the picture then turn your hand over palm down. and theirs your port design. audiofanaticz
yes, and you wouldnt even have to redesign the box. It be pretty easy, your board length for the board D would be different, it would be 2 pieces instead of 1 solid. F and G pieces can just be flipped around so that the port would be in the center, and not have to change any measurements on them.
