Jared420
I Was wondering if anyone could help me with some ideas on a box. I checkout out the link from this site subthumb.com that has the truck boxes. I have an 06 extended cab silverado and I am trying to figure out how to get my 2 jl 12's under my backseat rather than sitting on the seat . At the site it shows 2 different options for 06 silverados. it shows a picture of the layout under the seat and im pretty sure mine is the one with the weird bump that they show. Only problem is for this style the site doesnt show any dual 12 boxes, only 2 10's. Does this mean I'm outta luck and 12's wont fit under my seat. I want to make this change because its becoming somewhat of a pain only being able to seat one person in the backseat and the setup just looks like junk. Im open to any suggestions. Anotherguy
If they dont make one for it, then more thank likely there isnt enough airspace to accommodate 2 12's. You could always build a box for two 12's and raise the rear seats.

Jared420
whats involved in raising the seat? it something simple or would i need someone who knows what their doing help me i plan on figureing something out and building my own box. I do carpentry so i should be able to build an oddly shaped box i just dont know if the airspace will be right and if they are even able to fit under the seat. Anotherguy
We used mild steel to raise the seats in trucks at the shop. With a small torch, hammer and vice you can do it your self. To check airspace on odd shapes just make a good guess and use packing peanuts to get the true volume and adjust from there.
dwright27
look at audio enhancers. we use them from time to time for 2 12" under seat boxes. and raising the seats isnt to hard. ive used washers before. they work but what anotherguy said is prolly the best way to do it. Forevrbumpn
I dont see raising the seats using washers helping any Ive seen 2" and 3" blocks of hard plastic, or steel Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
