Colin - STAPUFT Posted July 23, 2011 Author Report Posted July 23, 2011 Being on call 24/7/365 SUCKS! I have worked 13 days STRAIGHT. Don't get me wrong, I love having a job- but man, it feels like I'm never gonna' get done! Did manage to get the exhaust manifolds and exhaust Y-Pipe in, along with plugs, brackets and etc... It is so close, it sucks. All I lack is lashing the valves, putting the intake back on, plumbing everything and fillin' her up with fluids. Buuuuut- Sunday morning I have to leave for 8 days of work in Kentucky. ...so, once again the slow build keeps on being... well, slow. Soon guys... Soon. Maybe have her going for Siknic in Gonzales, LA on August 27th. Colin - STAPUFT Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 More Goodies!!!! These will change some of the system to an Active + Passive crossover setup. I am already running a 3 way Active X-Over and every speaker has a dedicated amp channel. I can adjust the gain on the individual speaker (tweeter, mid, woofer, etc...) on the left and right independently. Tweeters are crossed over at 4.5k right now. Gonna' use these to further wrangle in the frequencies the different speakers get. The 5.25" Tang-Band woofers in the doors will get 500hz down, I plan on getting some Bohlender Graebener Neo8-PDR Planar Transducers (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-713) that will run 500hz-3.5k, and I have some other 3 way crossovers somewhere that my JBL GTi 4" mids will get to run @400hz-4,000k. We will see how that goes soon as I get the top of the motor buttoned up. As it is, I have worked 20 straight days.
