Quick Box Question

so i have been planning to put a dc lvl 4 18 into a expedition. I went to re's website to see their box calculator. This is a rough sketch of what i came up with. ln dc's website, the suggested ported area for the box is 5.75 cubes. What do you guys think? will it hit lows and still sound good doing it? any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

EDIT: this is going to be a daily driver set up and powered by a rf p1000bd.

29-30 hz will hit the lows for sure.

this is probably a noob question but how much square port are should i have? and what is square port volume displacement? i have been trying to figure it out but i would like some clarification. thanks.

I have heard that a safe number is 12 sq inches of port for every cubic foot the box is. so id say for a 5.75 cube box you would need about 66 square inches of port area.

You could even go a bit bigger if you wanted (port area). Just remember to compensate for port displacement when you're building the box so you don't end up losing net air space and raising the tuning involuntarily.

That port is way too big.

You want around 80 square inches IMO.
