davewms9605 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Hello SMD, (newbie here), my question is, i want to put 2 kinetics hc 600 batteries in my trunk (1985 buick regal) and a Summit 160 amp alternator, only thing i can afford right now, and i have a standard starting battery, how do i wire the batteries in my trunk? i want to run a big 3 with 2 ga wire. the amps are 2-2400 watt power acoustic class d amps (1-ohm stable at 2400 watts rms) and a 1000 watt 4 ch amp. Current Setup: Sony CDX-7401UI 2- 12" Alpine TypeR DVC2ohm Subs Custom ported box 4-American Bass 6.5in SQ-6B Mids 4-Pioneer TS-T15 Tweeters 2-Crunch P1500.1 Mono Amps 2-runs 1/0 GA KnuKonceptz KnuKonceptz RCA's 1-Stinger SPV44 Battery Coming soon: 250 Amp Alt Custom Door Panels Second Skin Sound Deadner All in my 1986 Monte Carlo SS!!!

Oh, forgot to ask, how do the batteries stay charge? do i have to add a isolator like those RV ones or do i need a battery charger? wouldnt that be alot of hassle having to keep recharging those? this is a daily driver.
