Hoppy72450
YUP....Im 2 18's and roughly 8k watts and I just tapped it. BIG NUMBERS = BIG DOLLAS Well I see all these huge speakers and stuff but I got a buddy that entered local contest and he hit 155 or 156 one or the other with 2 15" L7 Kicker Solarbarics with a 2500.1 amp and a extra battery. I still got pics of it all. He got it all on ebay for all 1500 alittle lower but not much.

DHFHades
yeah, I hit a 139.9 on a ghetto handheld on 300rms, I'm guessing actual numbers were more like 133-ish 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4X4 Pioneer DEH-P2900MP, Big 3 done in 1/0, 1 run 1/0 ran to amp DAT HF1000.1 #007 powering a DC lvl4 15 DAT HR 4085 prototype powering 2 Selenium 6s and 2 no name tweeters running active 1st place in AS3 @ Surf City Sound Off, 140.8 @ 45hz @ the headrest. rebuild coming soon to get a better score "I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. Boon
You could do 150 easily if you stuck the meter in the port... I have 4000w on a DD 9515 in an SPL box and I'm still only at 147dB dbdrag legal... Otherwise, no. And your friend's score was either in the kick, door open with a AC190 with the gain maxed out or it's lies. 10.x volts fo' life!

Some have to be sealed and some allow you to open doors/windows. All these things come into play when comparing #s. The Term-Lab has pretty much became the standard for spl measurement.
